This weeks member of the week is Benjamin Roach, Director of Revenue Operations at Optio Incentives. Benjamin has quickly become a familiar face in the SaaSiest community! A member of the SaaSiest Executive Network for two consecutive years, he also joined us at SaaSiest 2026 – not only as an attendee, but taking the stage as a speaker to share his knowledge with the wider community. Now that’s pretty SaaSy 👏
We asked Benjamin a couple of personal questions; see his answers below:
🧩 Tell us something about yourself that we wouldn’t find on your LinkedIn profile
“Away from the day job, you’ll find me on the sidelines of my kids’ jujitsu tournaments, coaching youth rugby, or chasing cows and chickens around the farm. Weekends are loud, muddy and wonderfully chaotic. Funnily enough, it’s the best RevOps training I know: getting a pack of enthusiastic youngsters (or a group of hectic chickens) moving in the same direction takes a clear game plan, simple communication, and the ability to adapt when the plan meets reality (the game plan almost never survives, of course 😄). That’s pretty much the RevOps job too”
💼 What’s the best part of your job?
“Seeing the lightbulb moment when the everything comes together for an organization.
RevOps sits at the intersection of sales, marketing, customer success and finance, so I get to see the whole picture. The most satisfying part is when a process fix, a cleaner funnel or a better forecast model removes friction for a team, and suddenly reps are closing faster, marketing knows what’s working, and leadership can plan with confidence. Most of that work is invisible when it’s done well, but the impact shows up everywhere. I also love that it’s a role built on collaboration; you only succeed when the teams around you do.”
🤝 What does it mean for you to be part of the SaaSiest Community?
“I’ve been part of SaaSiest through events, the monthly Executive Network sessions, and this year I had the privilege of speaking at SaaSiest in Malmö. RevOps can sometimes feel like a lonely function, so finding a community that gets the daily challenges is a big deal. What I value most is the openness: people share what’s really working, and what isn’t, rather than just polished success stories. Stepping onto the stage in Malmö was a highlight, because it let me give back to a community that has given me so much. For me, SaaSiest is generosity, curiosity, and connections that go well beyond a single event.”
Thanks, Benjamin, for being part of the SaaSiest Community 🩷
