Reflections from SaaSiest Amsterdam 2024

SaaSiest Amsterdam is officially wrapped up, and wow—what an unforgettable experience! Last year, SaaSiest was a one-day event with one stage, no exhibition, no social events, and no side events. This year, we decided to go all in, transforming it into a full-fledged two-day extravaganza with 37 speakers, 10 partners, and a lineup packed with thought-provoking keynotes, hands-on workshops, and more SaaSy energy than we could’ve imagined. But beyond the content, the real magic was powered by YOU – our incredible community. Here’s a look back at what made SaaSiest Amsterdam 2024 so special, along with some reflections from our team.

Kicking off with fun: Padel & canal tours

What better way to start an event than with some fun, connection-filled activities? On Day 0, our community had the chance to choose between an action-packed padel tournament or a relaxing canal tour through the waterways of Amsterdam. Congratulations to Hugo Roseiro and Samuli Salonen, who brought their A-game and took home the padel trophies!

37 Speakers:

We were honored to host 37 speakers, each bringing fresh insights and game-changing ideas to the table. Keynotes covered everything from strategic positioning and how to balance sales-led and product-led growth, to the promises and future of AI. Keep an eye on our linkedin for some snippets of these sessions.

SaaSiest party: Hats ON, saxophones out

Day 1 wrapped up with an epic SaaSiest Party that took the energy to another level. With not just a DJ but also a live saxophonist, the dance floor was electric, and the vibes were just what we needed to close out an incredible day. Let’s just say the party hats were firmly ON!

Community first:

One of the standout moments this year was seeing the true power of the SaaSiest community. People didn’t just come for the content—they came for the connections. Whether over coffee breaks or during sessions, it was clear that building meaningful relationships was a huge part of the experience. Our 1:1 networking platform took things to the next level, facilitating connections that matter – 548 meetings were booked and accepted, proving just how much our community values face-to-face conversations.

Poker tournament:

To wrap it all up, we hosted a SaaSiest Poker Tournament, and after some intense play, the winner of the SaaSiest Amsterdam Poker Tournament 2024 was crowned – congratulations to Vladan Soldat for taking home the title!

Let’s hear some quick reflections from the SaaSiest team:

Daniel: I compare SaaSiest attendees to guests walking into my living room! I want you to be seen, heard, fed and hopefully get to enjoy some good conversations!  During the opening statements we talked about co-creation, how we all had a chance to come together and make something great together! I feel we did just that, attendees, speakers, partners and SaaSiest staff all came together in a beautiful way to create a great experience for everyone involved. It was fantastic to see many lively discussions, all the new connections being made and of course, all the laughter shared! This is community at its best when we all work together!

Thomas: The SaaSiest events are for me truly the highlights of the year. It’s all about bringing the community together, to network, have fun, and build real relationships with people you’ve been chatting with on LinkedIn or met during online networking sessions. When we ask people what makes SaaSiest special, the answer we hear the most is “the vibe.” There’s something amazing about the energy when everyone comes together, and no one has to put on a front.

We make it a point to create a space where you can let your guard down, be yourself, and connect with others in a genuine way. No one’s sitting on a high horse, and I think that goes back to the type of content we focus on. It’s not about who’s raised the most money or made the biggest exits; it’s about learning from each other’s successes and, just as importantly, from our mistakes.

What really makes this event stand out is the diversity. You’ve got people from all kinds of backgrounds, different countries, and various disciplines, and it just makes for an awesome experience. Plus, starting the day before with some social activities is such a good way to meet people before the main event kicks off.

I’m already excited for next year!

SaaSiest Amsterdam 2024 was one for the books—and we’re already counting down to next year. Until then, thank you to everyone who made this event so special. The best is yet to come!
