This week’s SaaSiest Community member of the week is Marcus Kallavus, Head of Revenue at Messente. We first met Marcus at our SaaSiest Tallinn meetup back in 2023, which we hosted at the Messente office. Ever since then, Marcus has been a member of the SaaSiest Executive Network and SaaSiest Community. Some of you might have met him in person at one of the SaaSiest events; Marcus has been to both SaaSiest Malmö and SaaSiest Amsterdam – what a champ!
We asked Marcus a couple of personal questions, see his answers below:
🧩 Tell us something about yourself that we wouldn’t find on your LinkedIn profile
I’m training for a half-Ironman, which probably means I’ve entered my mid-life crisis early. You know the saying: “How do you recognize a triathlete? Don’t worry, they’ll tell you.” Well… here I am. 😄
Alternatively, when I’m not in spandex, I’m helping to spread the word about the Trossi volunteer sea rescue service here in Estonia.
💼 What’s the best part of your job?
That even “boring” channels like SMS or WhatsApp quietly keep the world running. I get to learn how totally different businesses work – from ferry ticketing to BNPL. And of course, my team.
Plus, I work at a company that truly believes in work-life balance (soon-to-be father of three and still sneaking in half-Ironman training sessions!)

Just the very welcoming vibe and openness do it for me. People share both wins and mistakes, and it’s THE place to sanity-check a go-to-market move with my peers.
