SaaSiest Community Member of the Week – Marie Ahlberg 🩷

This week’s SaaSiest Community Member of the week is Marie Ahlberg, CFO at Fortnox. Marie is as SaaSy as you can be – participating in several different SaaSiest forums over the years. Sharing knowledge and value with peers through the SaaSiest Executive Network for five consecutive years, she joined us for SaaSiest in Malmö three times – and even took the stage back in 2023 as a speaker 👏

We asked Marie a couple of personal questions; see her answers below:

🧩 Tell us something about yourself that we wouldn’t find on your LinkedIn profile

“While my LinkedIn profile is all about SaaS metrics, financial strategy, and navigating fast-paced growth, outside of work, you’ll most likely find me on a yoga mat. Yoga has become my ultimate tool for finding space and focus. In a role where your mind is constantly racing between numbers, forecasts, and strategic decisions, stepping onto the mat forces me to slow down, breathe, and press the reset button. I’ve realized that the mental clarity and presence I gain from yoga are exactly what allow me to return to work with sharp, steady, and grounded leadership. (And yes, as a mom of two daughters, I’m also a bit of a pony mama and morning coffee enthusiast!)”

💼 What’s the best part of your job?

“As a CFO in the SaaS space, I love that finance isn’t just about ‘keeping score’—it’s about driving the game forward. The best part of my job is collaborating across functions, like working with our CRO or Head of People, to build a scalable engine for growth. It’s that balance of commercial strategy, high-tech innovation, and people leadership that gets me excited every morning.”

🤝 What does it mean for you to be part of the SaaSiest Community?

“Being a SaaS executive can sometimes feel like navigating uncharted territory, especially with the rapid pace of AI and market shifts. To me, SaaSiest is the ultimate sounding board. It’s a community of peers where we can share both our wins and our raw challenges without filter. The willingness to help each other grow, talk openly about mistakes, and share best practices is unique, and it continuously inspires me to be a better leader.”

Thanks, Marie, for being part of the SaaSiest Community 🩷
