This week’s member of the week is Stephen Grist, Chief Financial Officer of Puzzel. Stephen has been making his mark on the SaaSiest community across Europe! A member of the SaaSiest Executive Network for three consecutive years, he’s also joined us at several SaaSiest conferences – from Malmö to Amsterdam and London. He even took the stage as a speaker at SaaSiest London in 2025, sharing his knowledge with the wider community. Now that’s what we call being truly SaaSy 🤩
We asked Stephen a couple of personal questions; see his answers below:
🧩 Tell us something about yourself that we wouldn’t find on your LinkedIn profile
“Hi there – You won’t find on my LinkedIn profile that I also act and direct in non-professional theatre around London. I’m in a play in November, in fact. The attached photo is from a production of the Dark Room.”
💼 What’s the best part of your job?
“My favourite part of my job at the moment is exploring with the team how we can use AI tools to deliver a degree of insight and analysis that would have been impossible just a year ago. Otherwise, it’s related to my hobby, and is all about how to be a good CFO, beyond the numbers and the rigour, you have to be a good story-teller.”

“Being part of the SaaSiest community means you genuinely get to share the real-life experiences, and learnings from your peers. A conversation in one of the CFO network monthly calls can literally jump you forward 6 or 9 months in your thinking. It’s like playing snakes and ladders, with the SaaSiest community providing some really helpful ladders, as well as our discussions helping you avoid the snakes.”
